The vest most people should start with.

Six 1 lb pouches in the box. Day one feels like a heavy sweater; ten pounds is a decision, not a second purchase. One adjustable size, over what you already wear.

Three questions

Which HEFT is yours?

What will you mostly do in it?
Have you worn weight on a walk before?
Your bodyweight, roughly?
Start with HEFT Light — 4 to 10 lb

Begin with the pouches out. Add a pouch when the last one stopped being noticeable — for most people every one to two weeks.

Go with HEFT Core — 20 to 32 lb

You've carried weight before. Twenty pounds is a real base; six 2 lb packs take you to 32.

Add Core — $129 See Core
You want HEFT Heavy — 24 to 40 lb

Eight packs, forty pounds at the top. $20 more than Core buys eight more pounds.

Add Heavy — $149 See Heavy
Built for the walk you already take

Same route. The hill counts again.

A few pounds on your torso and every step costs a little more. Your heart works harder at the same pace; your legs, hips and back carry the difference. No gym, no class, no extra minute.

How it works

Three steps. No manual.

1
Unbox

All 6 1 lb pouches are already in the waist band. Nothing to order, nothing to assemble.

2
Cinch

Clip it on over your clothes. Two side buckles pull the band in to your frame; padded straps cross at the back. It shouldn't bounce — if it does, cinch again.

3
Add a pound

Day one: take the pouches out and walk at 4 lb. Slide one back in when the last one stopped being noticeable — for most people every one to two weeks.

What makes HEFT different?

Built for walking. Not the gym.

The $28 vest is one fixed weight for life. Plate carriers are built for the gym and sell the plates separately. HEFT sits in between — adjustable, everything included, made to be worn on a Tuesday.

Finally something that made my walk feel like it counted again

I have walked the same 45 minutes for years. Started at 4 lb, now at 8. Same route, and I actually feel my legs and back on the hill again. Sits low at the waist, nothing digging in.

Goes over my rain shell, off at the door

It is a harness, not a garment — that was the part I didn’t get from the photos. Cinch the sides and it does not bounce. I keep it on the hook by the door and it is on me most mornings.

The one-pound steps are the whole point

I was told to start carefully. Four pounds felt like a heavy sweater. I added a pouch every week or two and never had a sore day. Every pouch was in the box — nothing to order later.

Reflective stripes are not a gimmick at 6 a.m.

My walks start before sunrise. Cars see me now. The weight band sits at the waist so my shoulders are fine after an hour. One star off because I wish it came in a second color.

Sent the first one back, kept the second

Honest note: the first one I ordered was too much on day one because I loaded all six. Support told me to start at four. I did, and it has been on my body for five weeks now.

20 lb on the stairs is a different workout

Bought Core for the stair loop at work. Twenty on day one was plenty, I am at 26 now. Straps are padded where it matters and the packs stay put when I run the last flight.

Common questions

Questions, answered plainly.

Will it fit me?

One adjustable size, black. Shoulder straps and side buckle straps adjust; it is a harness worn over your clothes, not a fitted garment. We don't publish a height range because we haven't measured one — if it doesn't fit, the 30-day walk test covers it.

Does it come with all the weights?

Yes. Every pouch is in the box. Light ships with six 1 lb pouches, Core with six 2 lb packs, Heavy with eight. There is nothing to buy afterwards.

What if I don't use it?

Return it for any reason within 30 days of delivery for a refund of the purchase price. Light ships back free; on Core and Heavy the return label cost is deducted from the refund unless the item is defective. Details on the shipping & returns page.

How fast does it ship?

From a US warehouse. Orders are processed in 1–3 business days and delivered 2–7 business days after that — plan on 3–10 business days door to door. Free in the contiguous US. We can't ship to Hawaii, Alaska, US territories, APO/FPO or PO boxes.

30-day walk test

Tomorrow's walk, a little heavier.

Whatever you pick, every pouch ships in the box, it's at your door in 3–10 business days from a US warehouse, and the 30-day walk test covers you.
